Ms Beattie brings more than 20 years of experience in regulatory and technical roles across Canada and the United States and is both a Professional Engineer and Professional Geologist in the Province of Alberta. In 2024, Ms Beattie was honoured with the prestigious Coal Association of Canada’s Award of Distinction. The award recognised her exceptional leadership, contributions to the coal industry and unwavering dedication to responsible resource development. Former roles include Vice President, Resource Development & Regulatory Approvals at Northback Holdings Corporation, Director of Regulatory Affairs at CST Canada Coal Limited, and Manager of Regulatory Affairs at Grande Cache Coal Corporation. She has also held senior technical roles at Deloitte Restructuring Inc. and Golder Associates Ltd.
